The top of Snowshoe Mountain

Snowshoe Mountain

We've had the pleasure to visit ski resorts all across North America. Big ones, small ones, goods ones and bad ones. And all those experiences have led us to quickly realize that Snowshoe is the best place for skiing and snowboarding east of the Rockies and south of Vermont.

An abundance of natural snow, sizable and varied terrain, night skiing and in the Western Territory, a taste of what its like out West. Given all these reasons, why go anywhere else?

Another reason why Snowshoe is tops in the region is what it offers besides its awesome winter activities. Hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, hunting ... you name it and Snowshoe either has it or is near it.

As we live in Richmond, we also were seeking a place within driving distance. Snowshoe is less than a four hours drive from Richmond which makes it far enough to make it an adventure, but close enough to do it in a weekend.

We could on and on about what is so great about Snowshoe, but we figure we'll let the mountain do all the talking. To that end, please visit the Snowshoe website for all you need to know about the Snowshoe experience.
